19 June 2014, Male'; His Excellency Mr. Chang Won-sam, Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to the Republic of Maldives has called on the His Excellency Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Foreign Secretary.
At the meeting held at the Foreign Ministry this morning, the Foreign Secretary welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment. Foreign Secretary also noted the close bilateral relations between the Maldives and Korea, and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties, especially in sectors such as tourism, trade and investments.
The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries and discussed avenues for foreign investments to Maldives.
Foreign Secretary was accompanied by Fathimath Inaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Nahula Ali, Executive Coordinator and Ms. Lauza Ali, Director of the Foreign Ministry of the Maldives.
