New Non-Resident Ambassador of Viet Nam to Maldives calls on Foreign Secretary
The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Viet Nam to the Maldives, Her Excellency Ho Thi Thanh Truc called on Foreign Secretary, His Excellency Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, following the presentation of her credentials to H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at a ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.
During the meeting held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Secretary Ghafoor and Ambassador Truc exchanged views on further consolidating the close bilateral ties that exist between the two countries and discussed avenues to collaborate in various areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.
Foreign Secretary Ghafoor congratulated Ambassador Truc on her appointment as the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Maldives and expressed hope that the close bilateral relations that exist between both the countries would be further strengthened during Ambassador Truc’s tenure.
Foreign Secretary thanked the Government of Viet Nam for the generous assistance provided for the fight against Covid-19.
Foreign Secretary Ghafoor was accompanied by Additional Secretary, Mr. Javed Faizal and Executive Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms.Fathimath Naeema.
