The new Ambassador of Laos to the Maldives, H.E. Mr Southom Sakonhninhom has presented his credentials to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, on Wednesday morning.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Yameen congratulated Ambassador Sakonhninhom on the commencement of his term. Meeting the new Ambassador afterwards, the President and the Ambassador discussed ways to further strengthen ties between the Maldives and Laos.
At the meeting, the Lao Ambassador assured President Yameen of Laos’ continued support and assistance to the Maldives.
