12 June 2015, New High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan, H E Mr Ahmed Saleem presented his letter of credence to the President of Pakistan H E Mr Mamnoon Hussain this morning.
President Mamnoon Hussain congratulated the High Commissioner Saleem on the commencement of his term at the brief meeting followed by the ceremony held at the Presidential Palace to present the credentials.
President and High Commissioner further discussed ways to strengthen the close and cordial bilateral ties between the two countries. President Mamnoon also expressed the Pakistani Government's strong commitment to support the Government of Maldives in all areas of mutual interest.
High Commissioner Saleem expressed his gratitude for the continued support and assistance extended by Pakistan. He also assured President Mamnoon of his commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
