Minister Zameer sends Waitangi Day greetings to the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of New Zealand

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer sends message of felicitations to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, Winston Peters, on the occasion of Waitangi Day.

Minister’s message reads as follows:

“On behalf of the Government and the People of the Republic of Maldives, and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government, and people of New Zealand on the anniversary of signing of the Treaty of Waitangi.

The Maldives and New Zealand have shared ties of friendship, grounded in mutual trust, common values, and unwavering friendship. It is my sincere hope that the close and friendly ties that exist between our two countries will continue to prosper in the days ahead.

I also take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being, and for further peace and prosperity for the people of New Zealand.
