Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer sends Independence Day greetings to Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony J. Blinken.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend sincere greetings and warm felicitations to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the United States of America, on the occasion of your Independence Day.
The United States has been a reliable partner of the Maldives in our efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change, promote human rights, and improve democratic institutions. The cooperation with the United States has expanded significantly in the recent years with the opening of resident embassies in both Maldives and the United States of America. We look forward to further enhancing our collaboration.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and well-being, and for the prosperity of the people of the United States of America and the assurances of my highest consideration.”
