His Excellency Moosa Zameer, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives has sent a message of felicitations to His Excellency Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Seychelles.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives, it is my pleasure to extend warm greetings and sincere felicitations to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of the Republic of Seychelles on the forty-eighth anniversary of your national independence.
As Small Island Developing States and Indian Ocean neighbours, the Maldives and Seychelles share similar interests and face similar developmental and environmental challenges. I am delighted that the Maldives and Seychelles have maintained a robust relationship with extensive cooperation, both bilaterally and in the multilateral fora on issues of mutual concern and interest for our two countries.
Let me take this opportunity to convey my personal best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being and for further progress and prosperity for the people of Seychelles.
