The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, His Excellency Moosa Zameer sends Chinese New Year Greetings to His Excellency Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On the joyous occasion of the celebration of the Chinese Spring Festival and the commencement of the Year of the Dragon, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government, and the friendly people of China.
The Year of the Dragon, symbolizes strength, wisdom, and prosperity. These are characteristics that are common between our two countries, and which reminds us of the enduring friendship and collaboration between the Maldives and China. Allow me to express my profound appreciation and gratitude for the close cooperation and unwavering support extended by the Government of the People's Republic of China over the past five decades.
I am confident that the long-standing ties of friendship and collaboration that we have nurtured over the years will continue to deepen and strengthen, bringing mutual benefit to our peoples.
Let me take this opportunity to convey my personal best wishes for Your Excellency's good health, success, and continued leadership.
