The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer sent a message of felicitations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Melanie Joly, on the occasion of Canada Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
"On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Canada, on the occasion of Canada Day.
The bilateral relations between the Maldives and Canada remains strong, grounded by mutual respect and goodwill. Canada has always contributed to the socio-economic advancement and development of the Maldives. I am confident that the strong Maldives-Canada partnership will continue to expand in the years to come.
Let me extend my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being, and for further peace and prosperity for the people of Canada.
