Minister Zameer sends a message of condolence to the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Moosa Zameer sends a message of felicitations to Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, following the deadly earthquake that struck Gansu Province in north-west China.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to hear the distressing news of the tragic loss of life and injury, as well as damage to property and infrastructure, caused by the earthquake that struck Gansu Province in north-west China on 18 December 2023.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, I extend our heartfelt sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of China for this terrible tragedy. I would also like to convey our sincere condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and to those affected by the earthquake.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
