The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Moosa Zameer sends a message of condolence to Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, following the multiple days of heavy rains that lashed onto southern China.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the devastating floods that have struck southern China, particularly in Guangdong province, affecting millions of lives and resulting in tragic loss of life and displacement of numerous individuals.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives I extend our heartfelt sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government, and the people of China during this challenging time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and those who have been affected by the floods.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
