30th May 2011, Male';Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Naseem signed a MoU with Bangladesh on "Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Concerning Placement of Manpower".
The MoU was signed on behalf of Bangladesh by his counterpart His Excellency Ms. Dipu Moni. The MoU will help preserve the rights of the Bangladeshi labourers in the Maldives. Minister Naseem also called on the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and also met some cabinet Ministers during the visit.
Minister Naseem is in Bangladesh on a four day official visit.
