Minister Shahid sends Unity Day greetings to Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent a message of felicitations to Heiko Maas, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of the German Unity Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“It gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of Maldives, and those of my own, to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the joyous occasion of the 31st Anniversary of German reunification.
The Maldives and Germany enjoy close bonds of trust and friendship based on mutual understanding and goodwill; a strong partnership that spans over five decades. Over the past years, Germany has immensely contributed to the socio-economic advancement of the Maldives. I remain confident, that with concerted and intensified efforts, our relations in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks will be further strengthened in the years to come for the benefits of our two peoples.
