Minister Shahid sends Republic Day greetings to the Foreign Minister of Italy
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends a message of felicitations to Luigi Di Maio, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, on the occasion of the Republic Day of Italy.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Italy, on the 75th Anniversary of the Republic Day of Italy.
The Maldives and Italy have a long history of close relations which is based on mutual respect and trust. I look forward to the continued engagement between our countries and reaffirm our commitment to increasing cooperation with Italy in key areas of mutual interest, especially during this ongoing pandemic.
