Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Maldives, I have great pleasure in conveying to Your Excellency and the friendly people of the Republic of India our cordial greetings and sincere good wishes on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day of India
Over seven decades have passed since the constitution of the Republic of India came into effect. And to this day, India continues to inspire with its commitment to “unity in diversity”. India continues to stand as an example for democracies around the world. India continues to lead, supporting its neighbourhood while supporting its own.
India’s actions during the Covid19 pandemic provides a shining example of these guiding values. India continues to prove that it is, and always will be, the first responder in any crisis in the Maldives. We remain committed to enhancing the robust friendship and partnership between our countries, and cooperate on issues of mutual interest in the international arena.
May I also take this opportunity to convey my personal good wishes for your health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of India.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
