Minister Shahid sends National Foundation Day greetings to the Republic of Korea
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Chung Eui-yong, on the occasion of the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
"On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Republic of Korea, on the auspicious occasion of your National Foundation Day.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Government and leadership of the Republic of Korea’s strategy in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maldives and the Republic of Korea enjoy a strong bond of friendship and close bilateral relations based on mutual understanding and trust. It is my sincere hope that strong and mutually beneficial ties that exist between our countries will continue to strengthen in the years to come. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency in enhancing, the existing friendly relations and cooperation.
