Minister Shahid sends National Day greetings to United Arab Emirates
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends a message of felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“It is my great honour to extend sincere greetings and well wishes to Your Highness, the Government, and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates on the momentous occasion of the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
As the United Arab Emirates celebrates the golden jubilee of the unification of the Emirates, I would like to commend the able leadership of the United Arab Emirates for the milestones achieved by the country in realizing the vision of its founding fathers.
Maldives and the United Arab Emirates share a long history of close relations based on Islamic solidarity, mutual understanding and goodwill. I am confident that the brotherly relations between our two countries will continue to flourish and prosper in the coming years.
I also take this opportunity to convey my personal good wishes for Your Highness’ good health and well-being, and for the continued advancement and success of the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates. Please accept, Your Highness, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
