Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives sent a message of felicitations to Secretary of State of the United States of America
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Abdulla Shahid sent a message of felicitations to Secretary of State of the United States of America, Michael Richard Pompeo, on the occasion of the 244th Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend warm felicitations and sincere best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of United States of America, on the joyous occasion of your Independence Day.
The United States of America continues to be a reliable and a close partner contributing immensely to the socio-economic development of the Maldives. It has also provided much needed relief and assistance even during challenging times such as the current coronavirus pandemic. The Maldives values this exemplary partnership and I firmly believe that the close cordial ties between our two nations will prosper in the years to come.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and well-being, and for further progress of the people of the United States of America and the assurances of my highest considerations.”
