The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Her Excellency Retno L.P. Marsudi on the occasion of it’s 78th Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Maldives, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm felicitations and good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government, and the people of the Republic of Indonesia on the joyous occasion of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
I am confident that the existing close relations between the Maldives and Indonesia will strengthen in the years to come. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency, in enhancing our friendship and cooperation for the mutual benefit of the people of our two countries.
Let me also convey my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity for the friendly people of the Republic of Indonesia. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
