Minister Shahid sends Independence Day greetings to the Republic of Indonesia
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Her Excellency Retno L.P. Marsudi on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day of Indonesia.

Minister’s message reads as follows:
On Behalf of the Maldivian people and on my own behalf, I extend sincere congratulations on the jubilant occasion of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
I am confident that the strong and mutually beneficial ties that exist between Maldives and Indonesia will grow and strengthen in the years to come. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency in enhancing friendship between our two peoples and promoting cooperation in various fields.
I wish Your Excellency, good health and continued success in your endeavor to bring growth and prosperity to Indonesia. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
