The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Taneti Maamau, President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Republic of Kiribati, on the occasion of their Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and my own behalf, I extend warm greetings to Your Excellency and the people of Kiribati as you celebrate your Independence Day.
I am confident that as fellow SIDS with similar challenges, the cooperation between the Maldives and Kiribati will be further strengthened both bilaterally and in the multilateral fora.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration as well as sincere wishes for your continued good health and everlasting prosperity of your people."
