Minister Shahid sends Independence Day greetings to the Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent a message of felicitations to Roberto Álvarez Gil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, on the occasion of their Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives, I extend to Your Excellency and your fellow countrymen, sincere felicitations on the occasion of the 179th anniversary of Dominican independence.
As fellow Small Island Developing States, I look forward to enhancing collaboration between our countries on a range of issues such as climate change and sustainable development.
Please also accept my best wishes for your happiness and good health, and for further progress and prosperity of the people of the Dominican Republic.”
