The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Fiamē Naomi Mata'afa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Samoa, on the occasion of their Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, I would like to extend my warm wishes in congratulating you and the Samoan people on the 61st anniversary of your independence.
As small island developing states, our nations are united by shared concerns regarding the environment and climate change, forging a strong bond between our two countries. As we mark the milestone of 30 years of bilateral relations this year, I am confident that friendly relations exist between our two countries will flourish and our engagements will continue to expand in the years to come.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and wellbeing, and for continued peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Samoa and the assurances of my highest consideration.”
