Minister Shahid sends Independence Day Greetings to the Foreign Minister of Saint Lucia
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends a message of felicitations to Minister of External Affairs, International Trade, Civil Aviation and Diaspora Affairs of Saint Lucia, Hon. Alva Romanus Baptiste, on the occasion of their 44th Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
"On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I wish to extend warm felicitations and congratulations to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Saint Lucia, on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of your Independence.
As Small Island Developing States, the Maldives and Saint Lucia share similar vulnerabilities and challenges. I am confident that we can enhance our collaboration in the multilateral fora and continue to strengthen our bilateral relations to overcome common concerns in the coming years.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and happiness, and for continued peace, progress and prosperity of people of Saint Lucia."
