Minister Shahid sends Independence Day Greetings to Bangladesh
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent a message of felicitations to His Excellency Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“As the Government and people of Bangladesh celebrate its fifty-second Independence Day, I wish to convey warm greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Bangladesh, on the joyous occasion of your Independence Day.
In September, the Maldives and Bangladesh will celebrate forty-five years of diplomatic relations. I am pleased to see that Maldives-Bangladesh relations have reached new heights in light of recent high-level engagements. I assure you that we are committed to deepening our longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and Bangladesh.
