The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid sends congratulatory message to His Excellency Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, for being appointed as the new Minister for Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I wish to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes on Your Excellency’s appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
The Maldives and Malaysia have a long standing and a historical relationship, based on mutual respect and trust. I have no doubt that the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between our two countries will further strengthened and reinforced during your term in office.
I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency and the Government of Malaysia in further enhancing our close bilateral relations during your tenure.
