Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid sends congratulatory message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Dinesh Gunawardena, on reassuming office as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and warm wishes on behalf of the Government of Maldives and on my own behalf as you reassume office and continue your tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Together, our two countries are charting a new course in our bilateral cooperation, exploring new areas and strengthening existing avenues. I am confident that with your experience and extensive knowledge of Maldives-Sri Lanka relations, our work will move forward with renewed vigour and dynamism.
Let me also take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the efforts you have already expended to strengthen the cooperation between our two countries, and I look forward to continue working with you on fortifying the historic relations between our countries, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
