Minister Shahid sends Canada Day greetings to the Foreign Minister of Canada
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, on the occasion of Canada Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives, and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of Canada, on the occasion of Canada Day.
Throughout our more than four-decade-long bilateral relations, Canada has remained a reliable ally to the Maldivian people, especially in times of crises. The Maldives highly values its close relationship with Canada. I am confident that this partnership will continue to expand.
