The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Marise Payne, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia on the occasion of Australia Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend warm felicitations and sincere best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Commonwealth of Australia, on the occasion of Australia Day.
Australia has been a close partner contributing vastly to the socio-economic advancement of the Maldives. Our relationship continues to thrive as we celebrate our 46th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations; a relationship grounded in mutual respect, sincerity, and trust. I firmly believe that the friendly ties between our two nations will prosper in the years to come.
