Minister Shahid sends a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abshir Omar Jama, following the twin car bombings in the capital Mogadishu yesterday.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn the news of the twin car bomb explosions targeting the Somali Ministry of Education in the capital Mogadishu on 29 October 2022, causing the loss of many innocent lives and injuring many more.
The Government of Maldives reasserts its determination and commitment to stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expresses its sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families and to all those affected by the horrific incident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Government and the people of Somalia during this tragic time.”
