Minister sent a message expressing condolences to Foreign Minister of Morocco, following the flooding of an underground textile workshop
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid sent a message expressing condolences to Nasser Bourita, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco, following the flooding of an underground textile workshop, which resulted in more than two dozen fatalities.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of lives caused due to the flooding of an underground textile workshop in Tangier, following heavy rain, on 8 February 2021.
At this time of distress, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in extending our deepest condolences to Your Excellency, the Government and the brotherly people of Morocco. Our sincere prayers are with the bereaved families, and we wish for the quick and complete recovery of the injured.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
