Minister Shahid sends a message of condolence to the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“Excellency,
I am immensely saddened to hear of the train collision that occurred in Bhairab, resulting in more than a hundred injuries and the loss of seventeen lives.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Bangladesh, particularly to those directly affected by this tragedy.
My prayers are for the success of the emergency response teams and wish a speedy recovery for those affected by this accident.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
