Minister Shahid sends a message of condolence to the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, following the deadly fire that occurred at a food and beverage factory in Bhulta, Rupganj.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news of the massive fire that blazed through the food and beverage factory in Bhulta, Rupganj that started last night, killing more than fifty workers.
The Government and the people of the Maldives join me in conveying our profound sympathies and condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and those impacted by this tragic incident.
I sincerely hope that the efforts of the response teams continue swiftly and successfully, and wish speedy recovery for those affected by this calamity.”
