Permanent Representatives and representatives from a number of African countries took part in the meeting
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid today, held a virtual interaction with the Permanent Representatives of the Africa Group at the United Nations. Permanent Representatives and representatives from a number of African countries took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister highlighted the civilizational links between the African countries and the Maldives, and the alignment of interest on many issues in the multilateral arena, including financing for development, sustainable development, climate change, and the importance of multilateralism.
Minister Shahid thanked the representatives of the Africa Group for the opportunity to meet with them, and highlighted the importance of working together to enhance the multilateral system and international cooperation.
