Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid held a virtual meeting with the Minister for International Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Botswana, Dr. Lemogang Kwape, this afternoon.
During the meeting, the two Ministers discussed on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the multilateral fora, on issues of mutual concern such as the achievement of the sustainable development goals, climate change and the strengthening of multilateralism. Both Ministers further shared perspectives on measures adopted to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the paths set towards recovery.
Minister Shahid and Minister Dr. Lemogang Kwape reaffirmed their commitment towards elevating cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and multilaterally, going ahead.
