The Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, His Excellency Dr. S. Jaishankar, will make an official visit to the Maldives from 9 – 11 August 2024, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Moosa Zameer.
During this visit, Minister Jaishankar will pay a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Minister Jaishankar will also hold official talks with his counterpart Minister Zameer to review the existing bilateral cooperation, following which both Ministers will inaugurate the completed projects under the High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDP) and Line of Credit facility of EXIM Bank of India and witness the exchange of Memorandum of Understanding on areas for capacity building, commerce and trade.
This is the first official visit of Minister Dr. Jaishankar to Maldives since assuming the office for a second term in June 2024.
