13 February 2014, Male': Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, H.E. Mr. Salman Khurshid, , is scheduled to make an official visit to the Maldives on 19 February 2014 at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, H.E. Ms. Dunya Maumoon.
The visit of Minister Salman Khurshid precedes the 35th Session of the SAARCCouncil of Ministers Meeting to be held in Bandos Island Resort on 20 February 2014. This would be the first official visit of a Foreign Minister received by the new Government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
During the visit, both governments will engage in high level official talks, reaffirming the commitments and close cordial relations between the two countries.
