Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ms. Dunya Maumoon has departed to Saudi Arabia today to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on Cause of Aggressions on Saudi Diplomatic Missions in the Islamic Republic of Iran which is scheduled to take place in Jeddah on 21st January 2016.
The Maldives delegation to the Extraordinary Meeting is headed by Minister Dunya and is accompanied by H.E. Mr. Abdullah Hameed, Ambassador of Maldives to Saudi Arabia and Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister Dunya is set to deliver a statement at the extraordinary meeting.
The Maldives became a member of the OIC on 26 July 1976
