The first round of political consultations between Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives & Ministry of Foreign & European Affairs of Slovenia concluded today.
The first round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia has concluded in Malé today.
The Political Consultations provides a platform for the two countries to discuss mutually important issues in bilateral, regional and multilateral forums.
During today's consultations, both governments explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation in various areas, including health, education, economy, trade, environment, and climate change. The discussions also focused on increasing cooperation in the tourism sector, such as improving connectivity and fostering people-to-people ties. Additionally, the two governments discussed international issues of mutual importance and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the multilateral arena.
The first round of political consultations was co-chaired by Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Secretary, Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, and Ms. Mateja Norčić Štamcar, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
