Japanese Ambassador calls on the Vice President

Japanese Ambassador designated to the Maldives, H.E. Kenichi Sunganuma, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.

The Vice President and the Japanese Ambassador noted the good relations between Maldives and Japan, and discussed ways to further enhance relations between both countries.

At the meeting, the Japanese Ambassador, Kenichi Sunganuma congratulated Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor on his assumption of office. Further speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador assured President Yameen of Japan’s commitment to contribute to the long term development projects in Maldives.

The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aishath Azeema.
