His Excellency Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Syed Khawar Ali, High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Republic of Maldives has paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.
During the meeting, held at the Ministry this afternoon, the High Commissioner expressed warm greetings and felicitations from the Government of Pakistan, to Minister Asim on his appointment as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives. High Commissioner assured his commitment to continue working closely with the Government of Maldives in further strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and Pakistan.
Foreign Minister thanked the High Commissioner for the kind wishes and mentioned that the Maldives and Pakistan enjoy strong bilateral ties of friendship. Minister further mentioned that he is confident that relations between both countries will continue to strengthen.
Foreign Minister Asim was accompanied by Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Additional Secretary and
Ms. Aminath Shabeena, Director, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
