09 May 2013, Male'; New High Commissioner of Maldives to India, H. E. Mr. Mohamed Naseer presented his letter of credence to the President of India H. E. Shri. Puranab Mukherjee this morning.
President Mukherjee congratulated the new High Commissioner meeting High Commissioner Naseer at the ceremony held at the Presidential Palace to present the credentials, after which the Indian President and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral relations that exist between the two countries and ways to further strengthen these ties. President Mukherjee assured that India will continue to assist and corporate with the Maldives in all areas it needs.
High Commissioner Naseer thanked the President for all the assistance that India had provided to the Maldives in the past and reassured President Mukherjee that relations between the Maldives and India will continue to flourish. He stressed that it was his highest priority to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
