16 June 2015, Male’: The Government of Pakistan has donated USD 78,662/- to the Government of Maldives, under the Special Assistance Programme for South Asia (SAP-SA), for the procurement of Sports Equipment.
At a meeting held this afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the cheque on behalf of the Government of Maldives, and the cheque was presented by Charge d’ affaires Mr. Shahid Mehmood, of the Pakistan High Commission to the Maldives.
On behalf of the Government of Maldives Additional Secretary expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for the continuous engagement, support and assistance, to the Maldives
The Meeting was attended by Ms. Zenysha Zaki, Director and Ms. Nizwee Rasheed, Assistant Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the past, Pakistan has supported the Maldives under the SAP-SA programme by providing medical equipment for the health sector, classroom equipment to the Foreign Service Institute of Maldives and office equipment to the Maldives Police Service.
