Minister sent a message of condolence the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Philippines following the devastation caused by the recent typhoons
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of condolence to His Excellency Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Philippines, following the devastation caused by the recent typhoons in the Philippines.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to hear the news about the loss of lives, displacement of people and destruction of homes caused by the recent typhoons in the Philippines.
At this time of national distress, amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Government and people of the Maldives, join me in extending our deepest sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Philippines. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and all affected by the tragedy.
I wish the recovery efforts every success and commend the tenacity of the people of Philippines during this time of national crisis.”
