Foreign Minister Shahid meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has today, met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Ayman H. Safadi.
At the meeting held on the sidelines of the joint debate on the “situation in the middle east” at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Minister Shahid and Minister Safadi explored ways to further strengthening and enhancing the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In discussing the recent aggressions by Israeli forces on Palestinian civilians in the occupied territory, both Ministers expressed their concern over the provocations and violations committed by the occupation forces. Minister Shahid and Minister Safadi further, reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate closely at the multilateral sphere especially within the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.
