Minister of Foreign Affairs had a virtual meeting with the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Maldives
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid had a virtual meeting with the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Maldives, Alaina Teplitz, today.
During the meeting held this afternoon, Minister Shahid highlighted on the invigorated Maldives-US partnership, and expressed his deep appreciation to the U.S Government for its continued assistance in combatting COVID-19 in the Maldives. Foreign Minister Shahid also briefed Ambassador Teplitz on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Maldives and the current measures implemented to curb the virus.
Foreign Minister Shahid and Ambassador Teplitz also explored ways to further strengthen cooperation on areas of mutual interest.
