Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid held a telephone conversation with his Nicaragua counterpart Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, today.
During the telephone conversation, Minister Shahid and Minister Colindres discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between both countries and committed to enhance collaboration at the multilateral fora to address global issues of mutual importance, such as climate change. Minister Shahid also highlighted the economic and financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the present efforts underway to revive the economy.
The Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate more closely in the multilateral sphere and within the United Nations.
