Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives had a telephone conversation with his Hungarian counterpart
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid had a telephone conversation with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó, today.
During the telephone conversation, the two foreign ministers shared views on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges faced in combating the spread of the virus.
Minister Shahid briefed Minister Szijjártó, on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Maldives and the measures implemented to contain the virus. Minister Shahid also commended the strong measures taken by the Hungarian Government to control the spread of the virus.
Minister Shahid further highlighted on the economic and financial aspects of the pandemic and both Foreign Ministers agreed that the ongoing global health situation could only be normalized through collaborative efforts by the international community.
