Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid sends a message of congratulations to the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Dinesh Gunawardena. The Foreign Minister’s message reads as follows:
“It gives me immense pleasure to extend to Your Excellency my warmest and most sincere congratulations on your appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka has remained a steadfast partner and a reliable ally to the Maldives, and our two countries continue to maintain close ties of friendship since time immemorial. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency and the Government of Sri Lanka in further enhancing our close bilateral relations.
