The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Moosa Zameer has sent Independence Day greetings to His Excellency Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On the joyous occasion of the 77th Anniversary of the Independence of Pakistan, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in extending warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the brotherly people of Pakistan.
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Government of Pakistan for its continued assistance for the development of the Maldives, and I remain confident that the Maldives and Pakistan will continue to cooperate in advancing shared interests, bilaterally, regionally and internationally.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your well-being and happiness as well as for the peace, development, and prosperity of Pakistan's fraternal people.”
